Safety Assistant

• Ensure the company and associated partners comply with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and food safety requirements are compliant to government requirement
• Liaise with the Government Departments regarding Health & Safety (H&S) standards and legislations matters and conduct inspections, audits, accident investigations and risk assessments to the company and related service partners
• Provide routine and induction safety trainings to employees 
• Implement OHS and F&H Management Systems to ensure OSH and food safety standard is up to international standard benchmarking
• Provide H&S support and services to the company as well as the new project, building and maintenance contractor
• Responsible for overall safety matters, safety plans implementation and promote safety awareness and provide administrative support
• Prepare inspection report and follow up with relevant actions by contractor(s)/internal department and provide advice on the appropriateness of these actions
• Prepare OH&S and food safety working procedures / guidelines to suit the needs of the operation of the venue Perform any ad hoc assignments as required
• Prepare OH&S and food safety’s regular report and consolidate relevant data
• Support ESG duties assigned by supervisors and liaison with different parties to meet company objective

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management, Food Safety & Hygiene Management, or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years’ related working experience
• Working experience in the MICE industry is an advantage
• Well versed in OH&S / FS&H Ordinance and Guidelines
• A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, well-organized and independent
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and Mandarin is a plus
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Safety Officer
