Senior Venue Operations Officer

Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage and maintain AWEM security standard to protect life and property for all the events occurring in AWEM
  • Understand, verify and confirm event requirements with the client and incorporate them in the deployment plan with proper headcounts and facilities
  • Ensure a timely update and completion of Event deployment plans
  • Ensure performance in event operations and execution of deployment plan up to the AWE Standard and in-line with the set key performance indicator
  • Assist in coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in the planning and execution of event deployment plans to ensure KPIs are being met
  • Ensure the execution of Event Deployment Plans for every event held in the venue of AWE are up to the AWE standard
  • Prepare and propose the manpower order for the Operations Manager to hire outsourced security service from the service provider for every event operation
  • Prepare briefing material and operations instruction for event operations to ensure they are clear and direct in addition to ensure briefings are delivered in a high quality and effective manner
  • Conduct quality control and Inspection on security personnel provided by the service provider is up to standard and meet the agreed Key Performance Indicators
  • Assist in planning, upkeeping and coordination of venue wayfinding and event related signage
  • Support internal stakeholders’ event-related meetings
  • Ensure house rules are executed at licenced area
  • Perform any ad hoc assignments as required
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics, Business Administration, Event Management, or related discipline, excellent in both spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of event planning experience particularly in logistics, security in a sizable organization or hospitality industry, experience in disciplined forces will be an advantage
  • Ability to develop and justify event deployment plans and crowd management plan
  • Ability to analyze and present facts and recommendations with sound judgments
  • Attentive to details, systematic thinking; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work with people at all levels with professionalism and respect, with emphasis on client-centred service
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; open-minded, adaptable, proactive and be a team player
  • Self-motivation with a professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and Mandarin is a plus
  • Possess a valid HK driving license class 1 or 2 is an advantage
