Venue Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage and maintain AWEM security standard to protect life and property for all the events occurring in AWEM
  • Lead the Venue Operations Duty Team to ensure its performance in venue operations up to the AWE Standard and in-line with the set key performance indicator
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures relevant to the Venue Operations Duty Team & Security Control Room for each role and job duties
  • Responsible for the standard of performance and discipline of the Venue Operations Duty Team , Security Control Room and security service provider
  • Ensure facilities inspection conducted effectively and liaise with the Facilities Management Department to rectify the defects
  • Responsible and manage staff, vehicles, contractor’s / services provider’s access control of AWE
  • Responsible and manage the loading area traffic management and ensure the performance up to the AWE Standard
  • Responsible and manage reporting of security incidents, identifying root cause and ensure emergency management are up to the AWE Standard
  • Plan and arrange related emergency drills and exercises such as Fire and Bomb Threat etc. for Venue Operations Duty Team
  • Coordinate and liaise with Airport Authority, Tsing Ma Control Area, MTRC and relevant Government Departments on traffic, special parking arrangement, temporary carpark, roadworks, marshalling area and temporary traffic arrangement related to day-to-day and event related operation
  • Responsible for internal training for each role and job duties for both Venue Operations Duty Team and Security Control Room staff
  • Review briefing material and operations instruction for venue’s security operations to ensure they are clear and direct in addition to ensure briefings are delivered in a high quality and effective manner
  • Responsible for quality control and Inspection on security personnel provided by the service provider is up to standard and meet the agreed Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage and support internal stakeholders venue’s security-related meetings
  • Ensure house rules are up-to-date and properly executed at public circulation area and back of house area
  • Perform any ad-hoc assignments as and when required
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Property Management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of event security management experience in a sizable organization or hospitality industry of which at least 3 years at managerial level, experience in disciplined forces will be an advantage
  • Ability to develop and justify event deployment plans and crowd management plan
  • Ability to analyze and present facts and recommendations with sound judgments
  • Independent, self-motivated, attentive to details, systematic thinking; strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; able to work with people at all level with professionalism and respect, with emphasis on client-centred service
  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; open-minded, adaptable, proactive and be a team player
  • Knowledge in local regulatory and legal requirements will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent in both spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Shift duties is required and having valid driving-license is an advantage
