AsiaWorld-Expo welcomes the world's best And celebrates 2008 with a stunning line-up of musical talent and performance extravaganzas

AsiaWorld-Expo is welcoming the New Year with a spectacular line-up of performances by A-list musicians, pop singers and rock groups. In just the first three months of the year, the venue will host concerts by American quintet My Chemical Romance, local star Aaron Kwok, Icelandic singer Bjork, Grammy-nominated American pop group The Backstreet Boys, world-famous tenor Placido Domingo, guitar maestro Carlos Santana and pop quintet Maroon 5.

Purpose-built as a stage for the world's best, AsiaWorld-Expo and its AsiaWorld-Arena are proving beyond all doubt that it has the flexibility and technology to attract today's top names in entertainment!

Rock fans will thrill to the first-ever live performance in Hong Kong of American quintet My Chemical Romance, which hits the stage for one night only on 29 January 2008.

In February, Aaron Kwok will hold his eagerly-awaited "Aaron Kwok De Show Reel Extension Live in Concert 2008" at AsiaWorld-Arena from 14-17 February. Hong Kong's undisputed dance king, Aaron will use the 360° revolving stage to create more visual excitement than ever before! In view of the overwhelming response, 3 more concerts are announced today to be held from 21-23 February.

"I can't wait to get back on stage and entertain my fans," said Aaron. "AsiaWorld-Expo and its Arena is a world-class venue that everyone in Hong Kong can be proud of. Its state-of-the-art facilities and unique design will create a much more enjoyable concert experience and help bring me even closer to my fans."

For a perfect night out, Aaron's fans can enjoy a "Privileged Access Package" for just HK$39. This unique package grants you access to a private and exclusive waiting area where you will be offered a complimentary drink before the performance as well as a free souvenir. Moreover, this package also includes a complimentary, direct and hassle-free access to the exclusive in-venue waiting area from Hong Kong Island (Admiralty), Kowloon (Tsim Sha Tsui) and the New Territories (Tai Wai) before the show, as well as free return to different areas after the show.

Alternatively, ticket holders for the "Aaron Kwok De Show Reel Extension Live in Concert 2008" can redeem one return-trip Airport Express ticket between Hong Kong Station and AsiaWorld-Expo Station for just HK$42. This very special fare is only available on presentation of same-day concert tickets at the redemption counter in Hong Kong Station from 5:00pm to 8:30pm on the concert date.

Following the excitement of Aaron Kwok's performances, world-acclaimed Bjork will bring her unique musical style to Hong Kong as part of the Volta Tour on 28 February. Following hot on Bjork's heels, global sensation The Backstreet Boys will appear for one night only on 29 February.

On 1 March, Placido Domingo — one of the world's greatest operatic artists and one of the three greatest tenors in living memory — will grace the stage for a performance of breathtaking vocal prowess. Guitar maestro Santana will appear on 7 March as part of his global Live Your Light 2008 Tour. This amazing performance will be followed on 19 March when Grammy-winning LA pop quintet Maroon 5 will stage their first-ever concert in Hong Kong.
