AsiaWorld-Arena celebrates the holiday season with an amazing line-up of top concerts

Hong Kong’s largest purpose-built indoor entertainment venue, AsiaWorld-Arena, is welcoming an outstanding line-up of performers in the coming months.  These high-profile concerts are the latest in a long line of performances that have seen AsiaWorld-Arena establish itself as the region’s preeminent entertainment destination.  Indeed, over 200 leading international, regional and local artists have staged live performances at AsiaWorld-Arena since it opened in 2006.

Internationally-renowned Korean pop star Rain will return to AsiaWorld-Arena on 28 and 29 November 2009.  This is the second time that Rain has performed at the venue, which has welcomed an increasing number of Korean stars throughout 2009.

Also on 28 November 2009, the pounding beats of the UK’s best trance and house music will be performed live at AsiaWorld-Expo, led by acclaimed DJ Seb Fontaine and DJ HYPER.

On 2 December 2009, Universal Music Hong Kong is bringing together its top performers for Uni-Power, a mega-concert designed to raise awareness of environmental and community issues.

Fans of Korean pop music will be thrilled to hear that famous boy band SS501 will perform at AsiaWorld-Arena on 12 December 2009 as part of its SS501 Persona 1st Asia Tour.  This will be the first time the group has performed a full concert in Hong Kong.  What’s more? Green Day will perform live in Hong Kong on 16 January 2010.  Having sold over 65 million albums worldwide, Green Day is now recognized as one of the world’s hottest rock groups. The band’s performance in Hong Kong marks its first visit to Southeast Asia.

To complete this amazing line-up of world-class music, AsiaWorld-Arena is thrilled to announce that the American rockers The Killers will stage a live performance at AsiaWorld-Expo on 29 January 2010 and Muse will be returning on 6 February 2010.

Widely acclaimed as music lovers’ favourite venue, AsiaWorld-Arena now features enhanced transportation links that offer convenient connections to all parts of Hong Kong.  Thanks to a dedicated, in-venue MTR station, the Airport Express is one of the fastest and most comfortable ways to reach the venue.  Audience members can enjoy an exclusive special fare of just HK$48 for a same-day-return trip on the Airport Express, which whisks passengers direct from Hong Kong Island to AsiaWorld-Expo in just 28 minutes*.

Two dedicated express non-stop bus services – X48 from Tai Wai and X21 from Tsim Sha Tsui – also serve the needs of passengers in the New Territories and Kowloon.  Together with free shuttle bus services between Tung Chung and AsiaWorld-Expo, these handy transportation links ensure that a great night out is within easy reach of people in all areas*.

Tickets for all shows (except Uni-Power) are available at HK Ticketing and Tom Lee outlets.  For booking, customers can call (852) 31 288 288 or visit www.hkticketing.com.  For more information on Uni-Power ticketing, please visit www.umg.com.hk.
