China Sourcing Fairs open at AsiaWorld-Expo HKSME Isle of [email protected] Pavilion highlights quality Hong Kong suppliers

Six sourcing trade shows organised by Global Sources featuring gifts & premiums, home products, Christmas & seasonal products, baby & children’s products and medical & health products open today at AsiaWorld-Expo with over 2,200 booths.  Scheduled to run through 23 October 2011, the China Sourcing Fairs with the world’s top buyers registered to attend offer a convenient way to source directly from quality Hong Kong and mainland China suppliers.

In recognition of the success of China Soucing Fairs and AsiaWorld-Expo’s emerging role as the world’s undisputed gateway to the economic powerhouse of the Pearl River Delta, the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (HKEA) has cooperated for the first time with Global Sources and AsiaWorld-Expo to debut the ‘HKSMEIsle of Creativity@HKEA’ Pavilion at the China Sourcing Fairs.

“We are delighted to work closely with Global Sources and AsiaWorld-Expo to introduce the ‘HKSMEIsle of Creativity@HKEA’ pavilion in the China Sourcing Fairs: Gifts & Premiums and Home Products.  This Pavilion is set to provide a trading platform for Hong Kong SMEs in showcasing and promoting their innovative products.  We hope that this collaboration will be extended to other fairs next year to foster the development of creativity and original design, and offer a good opportunity for Hong Kong SMEs to expand their business networks and tap in the opportunities.” said Tom Tang, Chairman, The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association.

Hong Kong exhibitors, SMEs in particular, are impressed with the strong visitor flow of China Sourcing Fairs.  Teddy Kwok of Wah Sun Umbrella (HK) Limited, a Hong Kong exhibitor at the ‘HKSMEIsle of Creativity@HKEA’ Pavilion remarked, “A specialised pavilion for local exhibitors would help to generate a more prominent exposure for us in the fair.  We look forward to the benefits brought in by the infrastructure stated in the National 12th 5-Year Plan which will further enhance the development of the PRD region.  AsiaWorld-Expo, complemented with the cross-border transportation services, attracts many mainland Chinese visitors to the Fairs.”
