Global Sources' largest-ever spring China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components sold out two months before opening date Event kicks off series of trade shows to be held in six global sourcing hubs this year

Global Sources (NASDAQ: GSOL) announced today that booths at its China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components have been sold out two months before the event which runs April 12-15 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The show will feature over 2,750 booths, representing the company's largest-ever spring Fair for electronics.

President of Global Sources Exhibitions, Tommy Wong, said: "Industry experts estimate that China exported US$940 billion worth of electronics and related products in 2010, representing year-on-year 30 percent growth. Growing demand for booth space is a sign of strong growth in China's electronics export industry. It also shows that this event continues to grow in popularity due to the excellent results they deliver for exhibitors.

"The Fair has steadily grown as they have built a strong reputation among quality buyers and suppliers.Booths are up 11 percent at this event with growth coming from both new and returning exhibitors."

More than half of exhibitors at the Fair are from mainland China. Others are from Hong Kong, Taiwan and other regional manufacturing centers giving buyers the chance to view competitive electronics products from across Asia at a single event.
 

Specialized pavilions showcase hottest electronics products

Highlights of the April 2011 show include an iProduct accessories pavilion. Expanded this spring by 20 percent, it showcases the latest iPhone, iPad and iPod accessories. Global Sources will also launch new pavilions featuring tablet and mobile devices and accessories, and bags and cases for computer and electronics products.

Other product pavilions at China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Components will feature computer peripherals, computer terminals, networking products, personal digital electronics, consumer electronics and accessories, in-car electronics and GPS, home entertainment and equipment, electronic components, LED displays and opto-electronics, interconnection technology, power supplies, telecom and wireless products, and mobile phones.

The April Fair is set to attract tens of thousands of top buyers from around the world. More than 32,000 buyers from 147 countries and regions attended the fall 2010 electronics show. Attending buyers include Auchan, Best Buy, Bosch, Carrefour, Canon, CCTV Direct, Coles Group Asia, Fujitsu, LEXIBOOK, Lexmark, Logitech, LOTTE Mart, Li & Fung, Mitsubishi Electric, NEC and Philips.

China Sourcing Fair: Electronics & Componentswill be held in six major sourcing hubs in 2011. The April Fair in Hong Kong kicks off a global tour that will take the popular trade show to Dubai, Miami, Mumbai, Singapore and Johannesburg, giving buyers across the world convenient access to quality products from Greater China.

"Suppliers in China should balance their sales efforts towards both developed and emerging markets.Each China Sourcing Fair is strategically located to give suppliers access to buyers in markets with the strongest sales potential for their products," Wong said.
