AsiaWorld-Expo Employees win “48th Distinguished Salesperson Award” (DSA) Nurturing Young Talents in Lantau Outstanding Performance receives Industry-wide Recognition

AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), the world’s leading EXPOtainment venue, today announced that two employees have been awarded the “48th Distinguished Salesperson Award” and the “48th Outstanding Young Salesperson Award” respectively. This is the second consecutive year that AsiaWorld-Expo has won this high-profile award which has acquired a worldwide recognition among sales professionals.

Organised annually by the Hong Kong Management Association and the Sales and Marketing Executives Club, DSA has long been established and recognised worldwide by sales professionals as the standard of excellence in salesmanship. Over 219 candidates from 72 companies were nominated to compete the award.

Mr. Allen Ha, Chief Executive Officer of AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited said, “We are very proud of our awardees’ outstanding performance for two consecutive years in DSA, which reinforces our team’s outstanding performance and innovative salesmanship skills.”

“The soon-to-be-completed mega infrastructures on North Lantau will lead to the formation of ‘Aero-Bridgehead Economy Zone’, which is expected to create 300,000 job opportunities to the island resulting immense demand on labour force. It is particularly encouraging to see young talents like the AWE awardees achieving milestones in their personal development. AWE is pleased to offer learning platforms for local young talents, and will continue to drive local employment benefited from the rapid development of the ‘Aero-Bridgehead Economy Zone’,” added Mr. Ha.

Following the success last year, Winki Shek and Marco Yung, from the Business Development and Event Planning department respectively, were awarded the prestigious “Distinguished Salesperson Award” and “Outstanding Young Salesperson Award” this year. The spectrum of AWE awardees has even been broadened as Marco was running in the OYSA Category, which is only opened to salespersons aged 25 or below and gives recognition to the most promising young salespersons.
In the DSA presentation, Winki and Marco actively pitched AWE’s Michelin-starred gastronomy experience during the Asia’s only five-star international equestrian race, and the convenient and economical Smart Card solution designed for foreign visitors.
