AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) welcomes Hong Kong International Airport's upcoming "Park & Visit" service, to be launched in support of the "Southbound Travel for Guangdong Vehicles" scheme. The new service will provide a seamless travel option for Greater Bay Area (GBA) residents visiting Hong Kong by private car. AWE believes the initiative and its supporting transport arrangements will further enhance connectivity between Hong Kong and the GBA, attracting more visitors to the city's diverse calendar of events while injecting fresh momentum into its mega-event economy and tourism development.
On 16 July, the new Park & Visit service will be launched to facilitate inbound travel to Hong Kong by car. Starting from 25 July, successful GBA applicants may drive via the HZMB to the automated car park, use the automated parking system, and take a shuttle bus to the HZMB Hong Kong Port to complete immigration procedures and then enter Hong Kong to visit AsiaWorld-Expo and other destinations.
Located adjacent to the Hong Kong International Airport's Terminal buildings and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, AWE serves as a leading international exhibition and event venue in Hong Kong. As the "Southbound Travel for Guangdong Vehicles" scheme and the "Park & Visit" service are progressively implemented, the new arrangements are expected to unlock the region's vast visitor potential, attracting more GBA travellers to attend international exhibitions, conferences, major concerts and sporting events at AWE with greater flexibility. The initiative will enrich the overall visitor experience, stimulate tourism-related spending, and further reinforce Hong Kong's position as Asia's events capital.
